History

M.D. Engineering was founded in 1985 and became one of the most respected companies in the aesthetic surgery industry. It was well positioned with several patents and had the first and most economical implosion proof canister, the LS7020. The flagship device of the company, the LS1000 Power Aspirator, continues to be used in hospitals, clinics, and by doctors around the world.

Today

M.D. Engineering was purchased in 1996 by Melbourne Kimsey II, and Medical Device Resource Corporation was formed in 1998. The company is poised to regain position in the market. The breadth of product line has expanded through research and development and through acquisition. In 2004, M.D. Resource (MDRC) acquired Reliance Medical of Grand Junction, Colorado. All of the products will continue to be serviced and supported by MDRC. The LS1000, though still supported, has ben replaced by an expanding aspirator line with the LS2 Models, and RM2000 models including the Titan and NX Pumps. We continue to expand on the cannulae line, which includes micro cannulae of all types, as well as our garment line, all types of tubing, infiltration pumps, fat transfer products and instruments. We welcome input by customers and all clinicians who feel there are advances and improvements we can make.
